The live event filmed in Hotchkiss CO and from the Drawing Studio at The Bemis Art School was very popular. Many friends, family and patrons tuned in and discovered how to make a delicious mulled wine and paper snowflakes.
Here is a mug of mulled wine my daughter and I made based on the recipe Angelina shared with us. YUMMY and delicious. We have decided it is going to be a new tradition to serve it during our holiday gatherings. I loved the Star of Anise flavor, cloves and cinnamon. It provided a beautiful fragrance for our family celebration.
Making snowflakes was next on the live event…
Using simple supplies; printer paper, white tissue used for wrapping packages, or white coffee filters, and a good pair of scissors is what we used to make snowflakes. Take a look at some of the beautiful creations made by people from Colorado and also across the country.
Just like the snowflakes that fall from the sky, each one a unique composition of crystals, so you can see… each snowflake made by hand is a one-of-a-kind too. After folding paper, cutting into the edges with a pair of scissors, making the cuts according to your whim, unfolding the paper and voila, a snowflake. Once you see how simple this process can be, it is easy to want to make more and more. Try it yourself, and you will see, a family making snowflakes..
