This page was created with a photo of a license plate I took in New Mexico, a magazine pic, acrylic inks sprayed and smudged, collaged florals, and journaling. Inspired by summer fun in the southwest, it expresses the joy of adventure and being creative.

Specialty papers of different sizes bound into the journal, places to add words or art.
The cover features handmade paper from Guatemala, silver Milagros, elongated beads that I made, and a bonus…inspiration pack of assorted papers for collage.
All pages await your mark making, words, splashes of color, all the expressions unique unto your creative muse. Available in my Etsy shop, link on the side.
As summer days start waning down, I hope you are finding time to create, at least a little here and there. The beauty of art journaling is it is accessible, easy to pick up a piece of collage and attach it to a page, add words or splashes of paint or any type of mark making. Maybe you like using pastels. Pick up some of your favorite colors, and create away. Sometimes I grab a twig, dip it into ink, add marks, and a spray of water. This begins a page of expression and I do not have a plan. As the page unfolds, I let my creative intuition lead the way, There is no right or wrong in this process. Rather it is about flow and trusting your creative intuition. After a few minutes the page takes hold and will lead the way for adding more expression and before you know it, an art journal page has been created…just for YOU!
