Learn to use vivid, bold color to create beautiful flowers.  A bit of layering with clear tar gel medium (provided by instructor) and collage to enhance texture on the canvas, mark making, stencils, and a variety of brush strokes with acrylic paints work together to create floral shapes.  The final layer is created with oil pastels (provided by instructor) for finishing touches and definition.  This class is about discovering your unique style by integrating hand, eye, and heart.  For the first couple of sessions we will get acquainted with floral shapes and hone our skills by creating pages in the mixed media journal.  This is a useful tool for learning by making thumbnail sketches, loose floral painting with an abstract flair, and painting a blossom on a collaged page. Supply list on line.  Ages 16-adult.
